Ashton Fencing Club is a non-profit, community-led organisation providing the sport of fencing to people across Tameside and Greater Manchester. We offer a safe, inclusive environment where individuals of all ages and abilities can enjoy, learn, and grow through fencing.
We are committed to keeping our prices low, helping to ensure that cost is not a barrier and giving everyone the chance to experience the many benefits fencing has to offer.
Our Achievements
Members of Ashton Fencing Club have proudly represented Great Britain at all levels, including the Commonwealth Games and four Olympic Games. We are also the only club outside London to have won a British Team Championship. Our Women’s Foil Team achieved this honour, becoming the youngest team ever to do so.
Our History
Founded in 1951, Ashton Fencing Club has a rich history of success. Over the years, more than 60 of our fencers have gone on to become national champions, with many also competing on the international stage.
